I Told Him It Was On The Chair..Who Was Right?!

For a refresher of how this goes, please refer to my writer's workshop in the subject here.

So, David thought Claire got his cell phone. He did, in all fairness, leave in on the edge of the counter where she can reach. She's small, but something's gotta be said for that extra couple of inches she gets when she stands on tip toe. It's amazing what the kid can grab onto when she's wants it. Phones, cups..She's even snatched her cousins pacifier a few times when my SIL and her hubby were over for a visit. So, naturally, he thought Claire took his phone when it ended up missing.

I told him the last time I saw and then HEARD him on it was a few days earlier. Seriously..I heard him for well over an hour talking on the damn phone. Can I just ask why it is that he is INSANELY loud when yapping to his friends? I don't even talk that loud. GEEZ! Anyways, he insisted that he hadn't used it. He left it on the counter. Why did I always have to loose everything?..Blah..Blah..Blah. I've been on a rampage looking for this phone for the past 2 days. I even went through the garbage can today. No phone, but I found a potato masher, the brand new bottle of dish soap I just bought, and my zester. Claire has been busy...Very busy. I even rechecked the couch. I didn't find it there, but I did find a gold necklace. Where it came from, I don't even know. Finally, and I don't know why I didn't do this in the first place, I reached into the left side of the chair, and guess what I found? His cell phone. Right there. All in my hand. I told him he used it in the chair. I told him he probably left it there. Makes me want to kick his tush, I tell ya. Now he can stop taking my phone to work. I bet he looks pretty manly sitting at work talking on a hot pink cell phone.

So, I was right..Again. I told him I didn't lose it..Again. Another disaster averted, by me, his loving wife.

I don't know.....I think you should keep his phone for a couple of more days and punish him by having to take your pink one to work. Because I'm mean like that :)

Everything about this makes me laugh. The things you find the in garbage, the loud phone talking, the fact that you were right and he didn't even look for it in the chair....everything!
