This week, I came across a gem. When I was pregnant with Ethan, I got bladder infections. I'd never had bladder infections. But, these weren't your run of the mill bladder infections. Oh no. I got them bad. They were so bad, and came on so suddenly, that I would wake up in the morning peeing chunks of blood. TMI, I know. They were horrible, and incredibly painful. The first one I ever got though, actually happened at night while I was hanging out with some friends. I was only about 14 weeks pregnant. I went to the restroom, and saw blood and freaked out. We headed to the ER, where we called David. David came to the hospital, and we all sat in the waiting room, talking. They were trying to keep me calm, just because I had seen blood and thought the worst. A nurse finally gave me the results of a urine test they ran, and said that everything was fine, I just had a UTI and they were going to check me out in the back to make sure everything else was OK. I calmed down, and was able to start joking with my friends.

About 45 minutes later, a nurse called me back, and David and I went into a room and I was told to do the whole gown thing. I gave David my purse, which happened to have my camera inside. He, of course, started to dig through my purse as per his usual routine whenever we were at an OB appointment and he was bored. After I was done changing, I sat on the bed, looked up and saw David with my camera. He lifted it. I pointed and said, "David, if you even think..."Don't I look just lovely? Doesn't the hospital gown give you that coture feeling? Don't you envy it and just want to try it on? He, of course, thought it was hysterical. Me?...Not so much. OK, so it was a little funny, but COME ON!! I was in a hospital gown, in the middle of the night. I wasn't feeling well. This is why your husband should not be allowed cameras in the ER. They make moments like this last forever. Then, they buy a picture frame and add this picture to it. Oh yeah..He did that. One of those collage frames. There's pictures of us, and then this one, right in the middle. When people see it, they laugh, and David tells the story. Ahhhh..memories.

I have to say that you look pretty good for a middle of the night ER visit! I would have to shoot my husband (and not with a camera) if he did this to me!
