Post Christmas...I Think My Tree Threw Up!

It was a fabulous holiday. The kids were, of course, up at the break of dawn. By kids, I mean Ethan, who in turn wakes up Claire, who both come running to get us up. Since Grayson is in our room, Grayson wakes up too. After I pulled myself and Grayson together, we made our way into the living room, where we put the presents under the tree the night before. See:
Ethan, was, of course, very excited. Claire was a tiny bit excited. Grayson...He could care less. But, let's face it, he's only 8 weeks old (as of today!) so I wasn't expecting a huge reaction. I changed him into his 'Baby's First Christmas' outfit:Took a picture of all three of them in front of the tree:And let them go to town. Grayson got lots of clothes, which, since he was a wait and see what you have baby, we really needed. He's outgrown his newborn items, and, well, he's a boy. All I had were a few boy things and lots of dresses, flowers, pinks and purples from Claire. Good we got some blue. He also got a few toys, which we put some aside, and busted out his gym. He likes it. A lot. Ethan gots lots of movies, nerf toys and all those new Crayola toys, like the Glow Station, they've been promoting in a major way. The Glow Station is actually pretty awesome. It's a glow in the dark canvas you hang on the wall, and the pen allows you to draw, or trace stencils that glow and they disappear so you can draw more. I played with it too..Ha! Claire got TONS of Elmo. So many Elmo dolls that I'm pretty sure she's set for life with Elmo. The favorite? Elmo Live. She's all over it. They were dancing together this afternoon. Cute.

After a long morning of present opening, family calling and then later that night, dinner eating, everyone went to bed happy. I was happy...Then I looked around my living room and wondered why trash day couldn't come sooner than Tuesday. Why, you ask? The aftermath:That's boxes and wrapping paper from all the toys....I can't wait for Tuesday. Trash day can't come fast enough. At least the holiday was fun for everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday as well!
