Valentine Eater Robot

See how far behind I am?  It's Valentine's Day!

For Valentine's Day this year, Ethan had to get creative and make a valentines day box.  He thought about it.  He shouted out suggestions.  And finally, we sat down and Googled some of his ideas to see if they would work as a Valentine box.  And then, he decided on the robot, which was pretty perfect because one, I had a shoe box that was empty, and two, I had just gotten over being sick and had a small empty kleenex box.

We set all of the supplies out on the table and he designated me his assistant, and also, I thought I might like to actually have some foil left over after he was done using it.  He spent the better part of an hour taping, gluing and asking me to make eyes and letters with my cricut.  We also learned that glue doesn't really like to stick to foil.  We had a pretty hard time getting the letters and the eyes to stick to the robot.  I cut a slot on the front of the robot for the valentines to go into, and a flap on the back for Ethan to be able to reach into and get his valentines out of.

In the end, he did a pretty good job.

And, he was very proud.

And, of course, it came home full of candy, which he used to wire his brother and sister with.
