This week it's All About The Food. I'm a big fan of holiday food, and holiday candy. So, here are a few things I enjoy!

CANDY--Mmmm..Holiday candy. Everything is minty or chocolate, or mint AND chocolate. I like standing in the Christmas candy aisle before I grab the bags I want/need and taking a deep breath of all that minty air. Then, there is my personal favorite, the Snickers Santa. Oh yeah...I buy those things like they're going out of style. I put them in the kid's stockings, and hide some for me. The best. My grandma mails the kids and us each a solid chocolate santa. I save the kids for stockings, and put mine and David's in the freezer. We each enjoy them on Christmas morning. Well, Claire didn't last year. She was only 8 months on Christmas. This year she might get enjoy a little.

CHRISTMAS BREAKFAST--On Christmas morning, we have a big breakfast of eggs, bacon, toast, orange juice and sometimes pancakes. Ethan takes a brief break from trying to get me to rip open boxes of toys and put batteries in them to help make toast and stir pancake batter. We might watch a Christmas special while we have our breakfast.

CHRISTMAS DINNER--When I had dinner with my family in Arizona, it was always at my grandma's. My grandma would make a ham. My great aunt would show up with a turkey. They would argue about why one made a ham, when the other was making a turkey. Without fail, it happened every year. My grandma made a ham, my great aunt showed up with turkey. There was always lots of leftovers. Here, every year, we take a vote, ham or turkey. We have mashed potatoes, gravy and stuffing. I make deviled eggs and we have cheese and crackers. We celebrate, just the four of us, quietly.

And, that's it. All about the food. I can't wait for Christmas.

ahhh, you made me laugh AND cry!

Sounds just like it was when I was growing up, we used to have Ham and Turkey. Now, at my Mom's and at my MiL's, sometimes we still have both, sometimes don't, snd sometime during the time we're together, we have "finger foods".

The ham and turkey story is fun. We only have turkey and dressing, no ham. Finger foods - yes! Love them a lot!

MMMMM....fooooood!

I have a special Christmas Morning French Toast that I make. I look forward to it every year. I also love the candy! Mint M&M's are my favorite. If we do Christmas with my family it's usually ham on Christmas day, if we're with the hubby's family it's turkey.

You are getting me in the Christmas mood (it is always possible to get me in the mood for something by mentioning the sugary food that goes with it!) My favorite Christmas candy is those chocolate oranges that you can buy. I don't know if they are completely considered Christmasy, but I always got one in my stocking when I was a kid, and I usually only find them in the store at Christmastime. They come in milk or dark chocolate (both are yummy) and look just like an orange. You can always follow them up with lots of minty stuff!!

I love the breakfast story. It is so sweet to sit snuggled up together eating breakfast watching a Christmas movie (or the parades)

We always have way too much food, too! My parents are always concerned there won't be enough for everyone (we are a family of 24), so they OVER-buy food and then we are freezing left overs and eating them for WEEKS.

I've never seen Snickers Santas available here (Canada). It's probably just as well, I'd get addicted!

Turkey would win out over ham here - we HAVE to have stuffing!
