39 Weeks And A Pumpkin

My MIL took Claire and I to the doctor today. It went much better than last weeks scream fest (remember, babies+doctors=Not a good idea!). Claire stayed in the lobby and played with my MIL, while I went in and had my appointment. Baby still head down? Yup. Heart rate at 135. That's 5 below last week. Get checked? Sure did, and was surprised to find myself at 3. I thought I'd only be at 1. He said I've thinned out an awful bit too. I'm guessing this baby is coming this week, and pretty soon. My MIL says tomorrow, my SIL says the first and her husband think Thursday. I think I just want to hurry up and get into labor. Come on little one, let's get this show on the road!!

In Halloween news, Ethan had his annual pumpkin carving extravaganza with my SIL. Every year she takes him to Wal-Mart, and they pick two pumpkins. The week before Halloween, if my MIL is in town, he spends the night, and if she isn't, we go over for the day, and they scoop and carve. It's become a tradition. I'm sure as all of our kids get older, there will be carved pumpkins littering their steps. Ethan actually carved his own pumpkin this year. Don't worry, she buys the pumpkin carving kit, so it was a super tiny blade that was being used. The results turned out great!The pumpkin he is touching is the one that he carved. My SIL did the final touches on little parts he couldn't get to. My MIL took all the pictures with my camera. He did a great job! This is the thing he looks forward to most all year. Pumpkin carving is the favorite. He asks about it for months, and when October comes around, it's all I hear about. I'm actually looking forward to Halloween this year as well! I can't wait to see his costume! Even if we are expecting snow Halloween night.
