See, at about 12AM, Grayson awoke. I'm not really sure why. I went in and did a few tummy pats and he drifted softly back to sleep. I decided I was tired and wanted to go to bed myself. I curled up in my warm covers only to hear a soft cough come from Claire's room. And again. And again. Then it was followed by a bigger cough and kind of a gurp (gag burp..I'm totally coining that. Use it. Love it.) I walk in to find Claire and her pillow covered in vomit. Yeah, that's just what I want to deal with at 12AM. I take her out of bed (yeah, she REEKED) and walk her into the kitchen. I fill the sink with water, strip her and bathe her as best I can in the sink she barely fits into. She doesn't smell terrific, but she's not covered in chunks anymore, and that's really all she needs. Fresh jammies, a quick sheet change and some mommy love later, she's back into bed by 1.
I say my goodnights and quietly close the door. Only a matter of minutes later, I hear her coughing. I think to myself, "I'm going to need the puke bowl." I dig it out of the cabinet and get into her room in time to catch her starting to gag. Then I get to catch puke. I know, you're jealous. This time, I had to change my shirt. I know, you're even more jealous.
So, here I sit, at 3 am, writing a blog about my night's escapade. See, every time Claire lies down in bed, she starts throwing up. She's thrown up a few times in the living room, and she won't let me out of her sight. I'm tired and ready for bed. Claire is tired, but fighting sleep like nothing I've ever seen in between gagging and nose wiping.
I'm really hoping tomorrow is nothing like today.

Oh no! I hope Claire feels better really soon and that both of you were able to get some much needed rest.
Awww It has been a couple of days now (I'm behind in blog reading!) I hope that she is feeling better! Being sick is no fun, especially when you are little....or when you are the mommy taking care of the little one!
