I am EXTREMELY bad at updating. Really..So, where to begin?
In baby news, I am 31 weeks as of Sunday. Nine weeks to go. I had to have an ultrasound to determine if I needed a C-Section because I had placenta previa. The placenta previa has gone away, but the baby is now breech. I still have 9 weeks, so I'm not worried about the baby turning in time. Ethan turned at about 8 months, and Claire at about 7. I'm just worried about the possiblity of a C-Section hanging in the air. I'm not a C-Section kind of girl. ONLY if me or my baby are in serious medical need of the procedure do I want one. Even if I did need a C-Section, and if David and I were planning another pregnancy (which we are not) I would opt for a V-BAC (vaginal birth after ceserean) for the next child.
I'm saving my money like a mad woman to buy my breast pump. I want a Medela Pump In Style. It's $279.99 at Target. With the Team Member discount, it's going to cost me $264.60. So far, I've managed to save $167.00. So, I need $97.60 to complete my purchase. Almost a hundred bucks! Hopefully I can scrape together a few more bucks and get my pump. I've bought the cheap-O pumps with Ethan and Claire, and both broke horribly, and I was only able to breastfeed Ethan for 2 1/2 weeks. Claire's lost suction and started making this horrible buzzing noise everytime I used it. The Pump In Style I hear nothing but good things about. My aunt RAVES about the pump from when she used it years ago, and my friend who just had a baby got one and said it's the best pump she EVER had. I'm jealous. I want this pump. Here's to hoping I get it..(sip juice here).
In other news, David and Ethan celebrated their 27th and 7th birthday's. We had great fun shopping at the Mall of America, or, rather, Claire and I did while David and Ethan enjoyed the rides at Nickelodeon Universe. We didn't buy anything, but we window shopped quite a bit and were totally excited about the soap sale at Bath and Body Works. Five for $15. LOVE IT! The store smelt so good. I went to get money from David, but was sidetracked by him taking Claire on the Merry Go Round for the first time, and completley forgot about it. Thursday, the 27th, we went out to Red Lobster with David's family, and on the way home almost got him by a drunk/stupid person/potential mad man, driving west in the east bound lane on 36 in Stillwater on our way to the bridge to Wisconsin. SCARY! David called 911. If we had been in the lane he was driving in, we would have been hit for sure. I don't even want to think about it. It scares me. Ethan's birthday on the 28th was great. We had a few people over for presents, cake and ice cream. I made hamburgers and french fries for dinner, and we played Totally Gross, a board game my mom bought him. Seriously, and little kid will love this game. It's a science game based on gross facts. Ethan thought it was hysterical. He also got battleship, which I played against him and David, and lost horribly because David kept cheating..lol..It was fun though.
Well, time to head to bed. Tomorrow is Ethan's first day of second grade. I plan to update more often, so I'll most likely be posting a blog tomorrow!
