She's Stirring Up Some Trouble!

Claire is crawling like a MANIAC. I swear, I've never seen a baby pick up such speed. She's like a cheetah in purple kitty jammies. She's also into everything. So far, her favorite thing to do is run into the laundry room and grab a handful of Teddy's (the dog) food, drop it in his water bowl, and tries to swirl it around. She's 10 months..I have no idea where she got this idea. She thinks it's great though. The love she has for Ethan is getting more and more prevalent everyday. She looks at him with big brown eyes full of love. He sits at the kitchen table for breakfest. She crawls over, pulls herself up next to him and babbles while he eats. Every so often I hear, "Hi baby sister Claire. You're big brother's just getting ready for school." It makes my heart melt. She crawls after him where ever he goes. Well, almost everywhere. She gets ready to follow him into our bedroom when he goes to brush his teeth in the morning, and she gets distracted by the squeaky bedroom door. She sits and pushes it open and listens to it creak closed. She'll do this until he comes out and starts putting his snow pants on.

In other news, Claire learned to wave. She thinks it's great fun. She waves whenever we do. She starting to learn to clap. Though, she usually catches her hands and waves them around. I've been planning her birthday party. Two more months and my little one is one. It makes me quite sad.

In Ethan news, he is still one of the best readers in his class. School lets out in June, and he's already talking non-stop about second grade. Hi 'Mommy' is slowly being replaced by 'Mom'. It got me a little teary eyed the other day. I miss mommy. His hair has grown back nicely from his impromptu haircut back in November. It came in a little scraggly, but I guess that's to be expected when a 6 year old styles their own hair with safety scissors. I really hope Claire never does that, and if she does, I hope she doesn't need her head shaved. We'll be teaching him to ride a bike, training wheel free, this summer. He's excited. I'm excited to teach him. It's a good thing the park up here is open and spacious, unlike the parks in Phoenix. Though, I hope we'll find a day when there aren't a lot of campers there.

In sewing news, no sewing projects have been accomplished yet. I need to buy a pack of cloth diapers. I have some ideas for Jamie's baby!
