I Can Do That!

So, I got myself a sewing machine..Or, rather, my grandmother got me a sewing machine. She bought me a birthday gift, two months early. I want to teach myself how to make things. I'll start out small, making things for Jamie for her baby shower, and then when I get a little better, I might brave trying to sew a dress for Claire. We'll see what happens. I've already set it up and have been practicing the stitches and the way the peddle works and everything. I actually like it, and it wasn't too difficult to set up at all. I was really quite surprised with how easy it was. I've been finding small projects on the internet to test out. I think I'm going to make a stack of burp cloths and a blanket for Jamie. I think I might be able to handle that task, and the patterns I've found for those two projects seem super simple and easy, so I can do it. I'm actually very excited about it. I've also decided to make a TuTu for Claire. I found a very simple, no sew way to do it. All I need is some Tulle and some elastic, and I'm in business.

Now, I'm ready to get crafty with my bad self!

Oh, and I've also decided to try and make some hair bows. I'm going to make one for Claire for her one year pictures. Hopefully I don't mess it up too much!
