When You Work Out, You Should Be Force Fed And Sat On

I'm sticking to my resolution that I need to take pride in my body and myself. I try not to eat after 8PM. On Monday's that's little more difficult because I wait to have dinner until David get's home from work, which is usually closer to 8:30PM. I just prefer to eat with him so we can actually spend some time together and talk without being interrupted by tiny people chatter. I drink more water. I haven't had pop (soda, whatever you call it) in years, so that wasn't hard. I still eat most of the same foods, but I eat them in moderation. Smaller portions, healthier snacks. Carrots and celery and fresh fruits are just as good as the potato chips I was snacking on before.

Another part of that is I've been working out everyday. Right now I'm doing the Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred. Today, I did day 7 on Level 1. My plan is to do all 3 levels for 10 days each. On day 1, I thought I was going to die. Today on day 7, I feel great. I really wish the weather was warmer and the snow was melted because I'd be talking daily walks with Clarie and Grayson in the stroller on top of all of this. Another thing I'm excited about? I went to the doctor the other day and I have lost 6 pounds and I've noticed my hips are getting smaller. I think I might invest in some of those shape-up shoes and get myself out walking every day (or every day it's not raining) this summer.

The bad parts of working out? Whenever I do push-ups, Claire decides that I am all of a sudden a great place to sit. She climbs up onto my back, forcing me face down into the ground, giggling the entire time. When I do jumping jacks, she runs around me in a circle yelling, "Come on guys! Come on guys!" Cute? Yes. Concentration breaking? Yes.

But when I do crunches, that's where the real fun begins. Before I start my work out, I get the kids snacks. I get them water. Then I start. Then, the crunches come. I clear things around me real quick, and then I lay down. Claire has sat on my stomach, twice, forcing all the air out of me. But Grayson...Grayson is a pro at this crunch thing. See, when I do crunches, Grayson feels like I need food...NOW.

A few days ago, he shoved animal crackers in my mouth. Today, he tried shoving Cheez-It crackers in my mouth. Good thing about animal crackers? They don't crumble. Bad thing about Cheez-It crackers? They do crumble. So, this morning, I did crunches. Grayson happily tried to force feed me a Cheez-It. I shook my head. He pushed it into my upper lip, where it crumbled and then promptly went up my nose, making me choke.

I like the occasional Cheez-It. I do not like the occasional Cheez-It hanging around inside my nostril. I didn't want to give up on my work out, so I had to leave it alone and sneeze a lot. I only had 10 minutes left, so it wasn't terrible, but it sure was irritating.

I wonder what he'll try to shove down my throat tomorrow.

I should get my daughter to shove cupcakes in my mouth so it's my excuse to eat them when I want! hehehe. Good for you for being so good with your workouts! I need to be better at doing it on a regular basis!!

Thanks for your comment on my blog! As for camera bags... Be careful what you get! I was looking on Etsy too and the padding didn't look so great. The nice ones weer around $90 anyway and the one I have is $98 with WAY moer padding. Straps are perfect from etsy too! The Little Miss Threads store is like an etsy shop sorta, homemade like those at least :)

Good luck with your search! I love feeling like a pro too! :D
